Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter, Central Coast & South Coast

Sydney wedding photos

There’s a whole world of wedding settings in and around Sydney: city courtyards, old industrial spaces, country gardens and coastal halls. These stories travel through Sydney and the surrounding NSW regions, with the actual setting named on every story.

Beyond the city: Central Coast weddings

The Central Coast has been a favourite of mine for a long time: a place to escape the city while staying within reach of Sydney and Newcastle. Merryn and Braydon’s wedding at Yarramalong Valley Farm Stay is one of the celebrations I remember most fondly.

The Central Coast sits within this site’s wider Sydney region, alongside the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and South Coast. Wherever you are gathering your people, my approach is the same: natural photographs, room to enjoy your celebration, and none of the awkward poses that make you wish you were somewhere else.

Your people. Your place. Your story.

G’day, I’m Josh.

I’m a documentary wedding photographer. I want your photographs to take you back to how it felt to be there, surrounded by the people who matter most.

The quiet moments before the ceremony. The hugs that last a little longer. Your friends singing every word on the dance floor. That’s the story I’m looking for, wherever you choose to celebrate.

Tell me about your date, your venue and the day you’re imagining. We can talk about availability, photography packages and what matters most to you.

Sydney wedding photography FAQs

How do we book you for our wedding in Sydney?

Tell me whether your celebration is in Sydney itself or in one of the surrounding NSW regions featured here, and send your date and exact venue. I take a limited number of commissions each year and want to hear your story and make sure we’re a good fit before the paperwork. Contact me with your plans so we can start that conversation.

When will we receive our wedding photographs from Sydney?

My usual delivery timeframe is approximately four to six weeks after your wedding, and a little sooner for elopements. You’ll receive an online gallery available to people with the link, which you can share with family and friends and use to order prints. That is the same delivery approach for your celebration in Sydney.

Do we need to be comfortable in front of the camera for our wedding in Sydney?

Not at all. From a Sydney courtyard to a country setting in the Southern Highlands, I want you to enjoy your day rather than feel as though you’re performing for the camera. I’ll help when you need a little guidance, so you can relax, have fun together and let the day happen.

Can we ask about wedding videography in Sydney?

Yes. I offer wedding films with the same emphasis on emotion and real moments as my photographs. They have a personal, home-movie feel rather than being built around elaborate shots. Tell me about your wedding in Sydney and we can discuss the film options and availability for your date.

How does travel work for our wedding in Sydney?

I don’t charge travel to Sydney, where I have family. For weddings in the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter, Central Coast or South Coast, send me your exact venues and any other locations you have planned. I’ll confirm the travel arrangements and any costs in an inclusive quote before you book.

Does this page include weddings outside Sydney?

Yes. Alongside city celebrations such as The Mint, this directory includes the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter, Central Coast and South Coast. Each story names its actual setting, so you can find inspiration relevant to your plans. Explore the wedding stories.
