Joshua Mikhaiel Photography is an Australian wedding and elopement photography business. Your enquiry, wedding plans and personal information are private. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit joshuamikhaiel.com.au, contact Josh or book photography.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, wedding date and location, photography preferences and messages. If you book, we also keep the details needed to plan and provide your photography, communicate with you and manage your booking and payments.

You can browse without sending an enquiry. You may contact us without giving your full name, although we need enough information to reply, check availability or arrange a booking. Please only share another person’s details where you have their permission, and avoid sending sensitive information unless it is relevant to your enquiry.

Enquiries and Studio Ninja

Our website contact form is provided by Studio Ninja, our client management service. Information submitted through that form is sent to and stored in Studio Ninja so Josh can respond and manage your enquiry or booking. Studio Ninja may also collect technical information needed to operate and protect its form.

How we use and share information

We use your information to answer questions, prepare quotes, plan and deliver photography, administer bookings and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or publish private enquiries.

Information is shared only where needed with services that support those activities, such as Studio Ninja, website hosting, communications and analytics providers; where you give permission; or where disclosure is required or authorised by law. An enquiry is not permission to publish your story or photographs, or to add you to unrelated marketing lists.

Website analytics and cookies

We use website analytics to understand which pages people visit and improve the website. Depending on the analytics service in use, this may include pages viewed, referral sources, device and browser details, approximate location, IP addresses and cookie or similar identifiers. Our hosting provider also processes technical information to deliver and protect the website.

We do not intentionally send the contents of your enquiry, your email address or your phone number to website analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser’s settings; blocking some cookies may affect embedded services such as the enquiry form.

Photographs and permission

Photographs shared on this website are published with permission. Booking photography or making an enquiry does not, by itself, give permission for public use. We respect your choices about the images and personal details you are comfortable sharing.

If you would like to change your permission, or have a concern about a photograph of you or your child, contact Josh with a link to the image. We will discuss your request and arrange removal from this website where appropriate. We cannot control copies already saved or shared by other people.

Service providers and overseas processing

Some of the services we use process information outside Australia. Studio Ninja’s privacy policy identifies recipients in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. Hosting and analytics providers may also process technical information overseas. Contact Josh if you would like more information about the providers used for your enquiry or booking.

Publication logos, icons and the Studio Ninja form may load from other websites. Those providers receive the technical information needed for your browser to request their content. External websites linked from this site have their own privacy policies.

Storage and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for the purposes described here.

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for enquiries, bookings, delivery, agreed photographic archives and legal or accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Contact us if you would like to discuss retention of your information or photographs.

Access, corrections and privacy concerns

You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, or raise a privacy concern by emailing hello@joshuamikhaiel.com.au or calling +61 499 406 818. We may need to verify your identity. If we need to retain information or cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why.

Please contact Josh first so we can investigate and respond. If your concern remains unresolved, you can seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, including whether it can consider your complaint under Australian privacy law.
