A rainy celebration at Worrowing
Mindy and Chris, thank you for including me in your wedding at Worrowing. The bushland and country setting near Jervis Bay made a lovely place to gather.
One of the first things I noticed on arriving was the wildlife around the property. The open grounds and surrounding trees gave the day a distinctly South Coast feel.
Rain changed the plans, but it also brought everyone closer together. There is something lovely about a celebration where people settle into the weather and make the most of being in the same room.
The ceremony moved into the barn, and breaks in the rain later gave us time for photographs, canapés and lawn games outside.
Mindy and Chris took the change in their stride. Between showers, they were happy to head out with their wedding party for a few portraits.
Mindy’s dress inspired plenty of jokes about scuba fabric, adding another little thread to the story of the day.
For a rainy wedding, agree on a sheltered ceremony option and keep umbrellas and warm layers nearby. Portraits can work around the conditions without asking anyone to be uncomfortable.
Their homemade hot sauces and cocktails carried a fox logo, and Chris had grown the lemons used in the drinks. Those personal details made the celebration feel unmistakably theirs.
