Wedding photography that lets you be there

Weddings are more than a job for me. They are a fascination and a passion. Capturing human connection, seeing people celebrate love and watching them commit to a life together are some of the greatest joys of my life.

Be in the moment

Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you’ll make about how you experience your day. Your photographer will usually be with you for the whole celebration: guiding you, helping coordinate things and, essentially, being a third wheel.

That makes it important to choose someone whose photographs you love and whose energy you enjoy. I believe you should meet your photographer in person, or at least over a video call, before inviting them into such a personal space.

Documenting without interrupting

I’m a pretty silly person given half a chance, but I think my gift as a photographer is being able to fit into the group of people around me. I always feel I’ve done my job well when a guest asks how I know the couple. It tells me that I seem like a friend taking their photographs.

There are so many wonderful photographers you could choose. My point of difference can be difficult to show through a website, or even through photographs. What I bring is care. I don’t see your wedding as a shift at work. I see it as a chance to share in the beauty of celebrating love and to give you my own view of the magic.

Sometimes the best thing I can do is put down the camera

So much of what I do on a wedding day doesn’t involve a camera. It involves helping solve problems: distracting a stressed parent from something you don’t need to deal with before walking down the aisle, or helping the bar staff clear broken glass from the dance floor.

I do those things because I believe that when you’re having the best time, there are more wonderful moments to photograph. I want the joy in your photographs to be something you actually felt.

Finding your person

Read about the experience

When you read reviews, look for what couples say about having that photographer at their wedding. Beautiful photographs matter, and so does the experience of making them.

Ask about their approach

Words like “relaxed”, “documentary” and “authentic” sound lovely, but ask what they mean in practice. How does the photographer work through a day? Does that approach match the photographs you see?

Look at a full gallery

A portfolio shows the highlights. A complete wedding gallery lets you see the quieter moments, changing light and everything in between. Ask to see the whole story.

Let’s have a coffee

You’re choosing someone who will spend a lot of the day beside you. Let’s make sure that feels good. Tell me about your plans, explore the photography collections, or spend some time with the wedding stories.

Your people. Your story.

Let’s make something worth remembering.
