Jess and Rich’s wedding at The Orchard Estate
Byron Bay hinterland
Seeing “The Orchard Estate wedding” in my inbox felt like finding something special before I had even opened the message. I had admired this Byron hinterland venue for a long time, and Jess and Rich gave me a wonderful reason to visit.
The setting was beautiful, but these two were the reason the day worked so well. They brought so much warmth and humour to the celebration that I would happily have photographed them anywhere.
The Orchard Estate gave us macadamia trees, open views and a relaxed place to gather. It was a lovely match for the day Jess and Rich wanted.
Getting ready
Rich and his friends got ready in the on-site cottage, while Jess and her friends spent the morning at Temple Farmhouse. Both gave us space for the quiet anticipation before the ceremony.

The barn, orchard and views towards the Nightcap Range gave us a beautiful variety of backgrounds without needing to leave the property. For current facilities and wedding arrangements, speak with the venue directly.
We could move from shade among the macadamia trees to open views across the hills as the light changed. Having those options close together helped keep the portraits relaxed and left more time for the celebration.
