Anne and Pontus’s wedding at Otočec Castle in Slovenia

Anne and Pontus’s wedding took me to Slovenia, and I was captivated before I had even landed. Flying over the countryside, I could see snow on the mountain peaks despite it being summer. The landscape was extraordinary.

Otočec Castle brought its own sense of romance to the celebration. The next day, we travelled into the mountains for portraits near the place where Pontus had proposed. Those photographs, at the end of this gallery, are especially meaningful.

I love photographing weddings close to home, but an unfamiliar landscape can open up a completely different creative rhythm. Anne and Pontus, thank you for inviting me into yours. This is a wedding I will always remember.
